Shivam Dube launched a massive six off Adam Zampa during the fourth T20I between India and Australia in Queensland on Thursday, November 6. The powerful strike cleared the stadium, prompting the umpires to call for a new ball. The towering hit came in the 11th over of India’s innings when Zampa delivered a flighted ball wide outside off.
Dube reached out effortlessly and, with excellent timing and weight transfer, sent the ball soaring straight over the sightscreen. Known for his ability to dominate spinners, Dube once again showcased his trademark power-hitting. Sharing the clip on X, cricket.com.au captioned the post:
“New ball, please! Shivam Dube sent that one way out of the stadium.”

Batting at the No. 3 position, Shivam Dube managed 22 runs from 18 deliveries, which included a towering six and a well-timed boundary.
India Experiments With Shivam Dube At No. 3 In Ongoing AUS Vs IND T20I Series
Team India opted to send Shivam Dube at No. 3 after Sanju Samson struggled in the same position during the second T20I, where the wicketkeeper-batter scored only two runs off four balls. Dube, on the other hand, delivered a steady but slightly slow innings. It remains uncertain whether the Indian team management will continue with this strategy in the fifth and final T20I.
Dube’s batting promotion came after an underwhelming bowling performance in the third T20I, where he gave away 43 runs and picked up a single wicket in three overs. In the ongoing fourth T20I, India were 121/3 after 14.1 overs, with captain Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma at the crease.
Earlier, Shubman Gill contributed 46 off 39 balls, while Abhishek Sharma scored 28 off 21. The five-match series stands evenly poised at 1-1 — Australia claimed the second T20I by four wickets, while India responded with a five-wicket win in the third. The opening game was washed out due to rain after India had faced 9.4 overs.
