Team India opener Smriti Mandhana recently celebrated her haldi ceremony with her teammates ahead of her wedding. The star cricketer is set to marry her fiancée Palash Muchhal, who is a music composer and filmmaker. Leading up to the wedding, Mandhana shared joyful moments with her Indian teammates during the pre-wedding ritual.
Haldi, a traditional ceremony in Indian weddings, is usually held close to the wedding day and is celebrated with music, dance, and festivities. At Mandhana’s home, her teammates—Shafali Verma, Arundhati Reddy, Renuka Singh, Shreyanka Patil, and Richa Ghosh, were seen dancing along with her family members to drum beats, enjoying the lively atmosphere.
Smriti herself took part in the dancing and appeared to be having a great time with everyone. Staying true to the traditional theme, all attendees were dressed in yellow, making the ceremony bright and cheerful while marking an important prelude to her wedding celebrations. The Indian team clinched the Women’s World Cup 2025 earlier this month, defeating South Africa by 52 runs in the final at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Following this historic win, Palash Muchhal organized a sweet proposal for Smriti Mandhana at the very same venue and shared a video of the moment on his Instagram account.
