Biratnagar Kings

Biratnagar Kings executed a great game plan to come through the Nepal Premier League 2025 with a smooth 5-wicket victory over Kathmandu Gorkhas. They exhibited their steadiness and control while going for the very low 135 runs set by Kathmandu. The fans were, however, most amazed by the way Biratnagar handled the chase so well, reaching the target in just 17.1 overs with 5 wickets down.

This commanding performance was a reflection of their batting strength and tactical mind that was playing on the field. The win was recorded in the second match of NPL, thus showing that Biratnagar has the quality to be up with the best.

The players’ performance was excellent; they played with brains and avoided risks that might have led to a wicket falling but were still in control of the scoring rate. This victory gives Biratnagar important early momentum in the tournament and marks them as the potential winner.

Biratnagar Kings win by 5 wickets over Kathmandu Gorkhas:

Biratnagar Kings exhibited an impressive skill set of aggressive T20 cricket and vivified the whole scenario with their comprehensive 5-wicket victory over Kathmandu Gorkhas. No mercy was shown by the Kings as they completed their chase of 135 runs in just 17.1 overs. The moment belonged to opener George Munshi, who went for it all and scored 36 runs rapidly off just 16 balls, which included 5 fours and 2 sixes.

His thrilling start was the right base for the victory. Lokesh Bam scored 14 runs, while the experienced player Martin Guptill was the one who made the most impact with his 25 runs in 19 balls. Naren Bhatt played at a steady pace, scoring 24 runs in 30 balls, while Wasir Ahmed helped Biratnagar reach their target comfortably with a little contribution of 19 runs.

Captain Sandeep Lamichhane and Shubham Ranjanel were the last two batsmen standing and they finished the victory off with deadly accuracy. Earlier, Kathmandu had a very unfortunate beginning as they lost four of their players for only 29 runs. Mohammad Adil Alam lifted them with an excellent 48 runs off 25 balls, which included 4 fours and 2 sixes, while Santosh Yadav was the one who made a little addition of 26 runs, taking the team to 134.

Nevertheless, the indirect contribution of the latter was their downfall, as the team’s total was still insufficient. Biratnagar’s powerful presentation took them two significant points, thereby making them the strong contenders for the title in NPL 2025.
