Gujarat left-arm spinner Vishal Jayswal enjoyed a memorable moment after getting the match ball autographed by Indian batting icon Virat Kohli, whom he dismissed in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025–26. Kohli was in fine touch during his second outing of the tournament for Delhi, scoring an impressive 77 off 61 deliveries.
Just as he appeared set for back-to-back centuries, Kohli was undone by a superb delivery from Jayswal. Stepping out of his crease to take on the spinner, he was deceived by the flight and turn, resulting in a stumping. The young spinner was visibly thrilled after removing the celebrated batter.
His happiness was further amplified when Kohli signed the match ball and posed for a photograph with him, which Jayswal later shared on his social media platforms.
“From watching him dominate world cricket to sharing the same field and taking his wicket is a moment I never imagined would turn into reality. Getting the wicket of Virat Bhai is something I’ll cherish forever. Just grateful for the opportunity, the journey, and everything this beautiful game has given me,” Jayswal wrote in the caption on his social media handles.

Kohli’s 77 Seals Narrow Win Despite Jayswal’s Four Wicket Haul
Jayswal also knocked over Rishabh Pant and removed Arpit Rana and Nitish Rana to return with impressive figures of 4/42 from his ten overs. His excellent spell played a key role in restricting Delhi to 254/9 in their 50 overs. Despite that effort, Gujarat fell short in the chase, bowled out for 247 in 47.4 overs to lose the match by seven runs.
Kohli was named Player of the Match for his outstanding knock, which guided Delhi to their second consecutive victory of the season. He arrived at the crease early after opener Priyansh Arya was dismissed in the second over by CT Gaja. Kohli settled in quickly, playing freely from the outset and peppering the boundary ropes. He surged into the 30s from just 16 balls, scoring at a strike rate above 190.
The former India captain reached his fifty in only 29 deliveries while Arpit Rana struggled to find momentum at the other end. As wickets kept falling around him, with Arpit (10) and Nitish Rana (12 off 22) getting out cheaply, Kohli had to curb his natural attacking instincts. His innings eventually came to an end at 77 off 61 balls, dismissed by Vishal Jayswal.
