Veteran Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was recently seen with popular sports anchor Shefali Bagga. Paparazzi captured the duo as they left a restaurant, just days after Chahal made headlines for reportedly unfollowing rumored girlfriend RJ Mahvash on Instagram.

The pair were not alone, as they were accompanied by a few others. Chahal sported a black mandarin collar shirt paired with blue jeans and wore a mask, while Bagga looked chic in a black dress. Instant Bollywood shared a video on Instagram showing Chahal and Bagga leaving a restaurant.

On the cricketing front, Yuzvendra Chahal last featured in the 2025 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, representing Haryana in three matches and claiming four wickets at an economy of 9.90. The 35-year-old is set to play for Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL).

PBKS had acquired him for a staggering ₹18 crore in 2025, making him the priciest spinner in IPL auction history. The Punjab-based team finished as runners-up that season, with Chahal taking 16 wickets across 13 innings at an economy of 9.55.

“Fear of things ending after getting attached”- Yuzvendra Chahal on love

Yuzvendra Chahal married choreographer Dhanashree Verma in December 2020; they first met during lockdown through her online dance classes. However, their five-year marriage ended, and the Bandra Family Court granted them a divorce on March 25 last year.

Following the split, Chahal appeared on Raj Shamani’s YouTube podcast, where he was asked about his romantic life. When questioned about being ready for love after this challenging period, Chahal responded:

“No, there is nothing. Let people think what they want. (are you ready for love?) It will take time to process. Let me first work on myself. I am not scared, but it’s the fear of losing someone. I get attached from the heart. If I give, I give it all from the heart; you can make me do anything. So, there is a fear of things ending after getting attached so much.”
