Star India batter Shreyas Iyer was present at the Pro Wrestling League 2026 final on Sunday, February 1, along with reality TV star Elvish Yadav and Bollywood actress Shehnaaz Gill. The title match, held at the Noida Indoor Stadium, saw Haryana Thunders defeat Delhi Dangal Warriors to clinch the championship.

The India ODI vice-captain watched the final from the stands, where he was spotted interacting with Elvish Yadav and happily posing for photographs with fans throughout the event. You can watch the video here:

On the cricketing side, Shreyas Iyer was included in India’s squad for the recently concluded five-match T20I series against New Zealand as a replacement for Tilak Varma. Although the Men in Blue secured a 4–1 series win under Suryakumar Yadav’s captaincy, Iyer did not get an opportunity to play and spent the entire series on the sidelines.

In the T20I format, the Mumbai batter has accumulated 1,104 runs in 47 innings, averaging 30.66 with a strike rate of 136.12, and has registered eight half-centuries.

Shreyas Iyer expected to be next seen in action during IPL 2026

The T20 World Cup 2026 is set to get underway on February 7, with India and Sri Lanka co-hosting the tournament. However, despite being part of the squad for the New Zealand series, Shreyas Iyer has not been included in India’s lineup for the global event.

The 31-year-old is now expected to return to competitive action in IPL 2026, scheduled to begin on March 26, where he will captain the Punjab Kings (PBKS). During his debut season with the franchise in 2025, Iyer led PBKS to the final, only for them to fall short against Rajat Patidar-led Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

PBKS squad for IPL 2026: Shreyas Iyer (c), Prabhsimran Singh, Priyansh Arya, Shashank Singh, Nehal Wadhera, Marcus Stoinis, Azmatullah Omarzai, Marco Jansen, Harpreet Brar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mitchell Owen, Arshdeep Singh, Musheer Khan, Pyala Avinash, Harnoor Pannu, Suryansh Shedge, Xavier Bartlett, Lockie Ferguson, Vyshak Vijaykumar, Yash Thakur, Vishnu Vinod, Cooper Connolly, Ben Dwarshuis, Vishal Nishad, and Praveen Dubey.
