Sanju Samson gave India a flying start in their T20 World Cup clash against Namibia at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Thursday, February 12. The right-handed batsman began his T20 World Cup debut with a six and then punished Ben Shikongo with back-to-back sixes in the following over.
Samson’s power-hitting came to the fore in just the second over of India’s innings. Shikongo bowled a short ball, which Samson effortlessly flicked over backward square for a six into the stands. When the pacer bowled a similar delivery, Samson sent it even further for another towering six.
He added a boundary next but was dismissed on the final ball of the over.
