[WATCH]- IND vs NAM: Arshdeep Playfully Touches Siraj’s Feet After ‘Siu’ Celebration

Team India pacer Arshdeep Singh playfully touched teammate Mohammed Siraj’s feet after the Men in Blue’s dominant 93-run victory over Namibia in the T20 World Cup 2026 on Thursday, February 12. Defending a target of 210 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, India bowled out Namibia for just 116.

Earlier in the match, Arshdeep had performed football star Cristiano Ronaldo’s famous ‘Siu’ celebration after dismissing Namibian opener Jan Frylinck. The gesture is normally associated with Siraj, who often celebrates wickets in this way.

After the match, when the Indian team returned to their hotel, Axar Patel asked Arshdeep about borrowing Siraj’s signature celebration. The left-arm pacer humorously said he thought it would be an easy move but admitted that his knees buckled slightly mid-jump.

Notably, India’s 93-run triumph marked their largest-ever victory by runs in T20 World Cup history. With two wins from as many matches, they currently lead Group A. Arshdeep Singh once again gave India an early advantage, dismissing Jan Frylinck (22 off 15) in the fourth over with a clever slower delivery.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj missed out on the playing XI, as Jasprit Bumrah returned after sitting out the opening game due to illness.

So far in the ongoing ICC tournament, Arshdeep Singh has claimed three wickets from two matches, maintaining an economy rate of 7.73. He is set to feature next on Sunday, February 15, as India face their arch-rivals Pakistan at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
