Having been out of the Indian setup for a while, Bhuvneshwar Kumar is now preparing for the upcoming Indian Premier League season, where he will represent defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

With reports suggesting that Josh Hazlewood and Yash Dayal might miss the start, the responsibility will fall on Bhuvneshwar Kumar to deliver early breakthroughs for RCB.  The 36-year-old, however, looks well-equipped for the challenge, as a viral clip showed him deceiving the legendary Virat Kohli with a superb yorker.

In the clip, Bhuvneshwar Kumar delivers a pinpoint yorker that knocks the star batter off balance.

Back in 2025, both Virat Kohli and Bhuvneshwar Kumar played key roles in guiding RCB to their maiden IPL title.

Meanwhile, Bhuvneshwar Kumar contributed effectively with the ball, claiming 17 wickets in 14 matches last season. RCB secured Bhuvneshwar Kumar for ₹10.75 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction.

With Josh Hazlewood and Yash Dayal likely to miss out, he could also take on a mentoring role for young pacers Mangesh Yadav and Rasikh Salam Dar. The Indian Premier League 2026 season is scheduled to start on March 28, 2026
