Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) bowler Prince Yadav got into a heated moment with Delhi Capitals (DC) batter Tristan Stubbs during their match at the Ekana Stadium on Wednesday, April 1. The two exchanged a few words and had an intense staredown in the fifth over while DC were chasing.

Prince Yadav, who was picked ahead of players like Mayank Yadav and Avesh Khan, proved his selection right by taking two wickets in his first over, dismissing Pathum Nissanka and Axar Patel. He came in full rhythm against the new batter Stubbs right after removing the DC captain for zero.

Stubbs eased some pressure by hitting the first ball for a boundary, but the bowler came back with a dot ball. After delivering the ball, Prince Yadav followed through aggressively, got close to Stubbs, and stared at him while saying a few words.

Stubbs didn’t back down and returned the stare, replying with a few words of his own before the moment ended and the bowler walked away.

Tristan Stubbs, Sameer Rizvi deliver match-defining partnership for DC.

Tristan Stubbs came in to bat at No.6 when the team was struggling at 26-4 in the fifth over. He had the responsibility to steady the innings and keep the chase alive along with impact player Sameer Rizvi.

The two right-handed batters rebuilt the innings and put the team in a strong position. At the time of writing, DC are comfortably placed at 107-4 in 15 overs. Rizvi has taken the attacking role and scored a solid half-century, while Stubbs has supported him well and remains unbeaten on 25 off 23 balls.
