The incident unfolded when Rana softly nudged a full delivery towards the leg side, attempting a quick single. However, his hesitation at the start proved costly. Slow off the blocks and unable to accelerate fully, he left himself vulnerable, giving Bumrah the perfect chance to strike.

Known primarily for his bowling, Bumrah showcased excellent awareness and agility. He sprinted forward, gathered the ball cleanly, turned swiftly, and fired in a direct hit at the non-striker’s end, catching Rana short. The batter had to walk back after scoring a duck off three deliveries.

Jasprit Bumrah enters the contest in strong form after finishing the T20 World Cup as the leading wicket-taker with 14 scalps. However, he went wicketless in the opening game against Kolkata Knight Riders, where the batters managed to play him effectively.
