In Match 25 of the 2026 IPL season, the Gujarat Titans (GT) secured a hard-fought five-wicket victory over the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Opting to bat first after winning the toss, KKR posted a total of 180 runs before being bowled out on the final ball of their innings.

The centerpiece of their performance was a brilliant 79 from Cameron Green, who struck seven boundaries and four sixes to keep the scoreboard moving. However, the rest of the KKR lineup struggled to find rhythm against a disciplined Gujarat bowling attack.

Kagiso Rabada was the standout bowler for the Titans, claiming three wickets for 29 runs, while Mohammed Siraj provided crucial early breakthroughs to stifle the KKR momentum. The chase was defined by a captain’s knock from Shubman Gill, who anchored the innings with a superb 86 off 50 deliveries.

His composed batting ensured that Gujarat remained in control of the required run rate for most of the match. Here are some twitter reactions:

Support came from Jos Buttler and Sai Sudharsan, who provided useful cameos to keep the pressure on the Kolkata bowlers. Although Varun Chakaravarthy managed to pick up two wickets to create some late tension, the Titans’ middle order remained steady.

Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan eventually guided the team across the finish line with two balls to spare. This result marks the third consecutive win for the Gujarat Titans, moving them up the points table, while KKR remains at the bottom, still searching for their first victory of the season.

Gujarat Titans (GT) will play their next match on 20 April 2026 against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
