[WATCH] Marcus Stoinis Hits Consecutive Sixes Against Jofra Archer

Punjab Kings (PBKS) all-rounder Marcus Stoinis delivered a sensational batting performance in the IPL 2026 clash against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the New Chandigarh Stadium on Tuesday, April 28. The right-hander remained unbeaten on 62 off just 22 deliveries, striking at an incredible rate of 281.82, with six sixes and four fours to his name.

During his explosive innings, the Australian smashed back-to-back sixes off Jofra Archer in the penultimate over of the first innings. Archer first bowled a slower, short-of-a-length delivery, which Stoinis pulled powerfully over deep mid-wicket for a maximum.

The pacer then cranked up the pace beyond 140 kmph, but Stoinis responded by launching the fuller delivery straight down the ground for another towering six that struck the sightscreen. Watch the video here:

Marcus Stoinis came to the crease with Punjab at 144 in 15 overs and steered them to a commanding 222/4 by the end of their 20-over innings.

Stoinis & Prabhsimran smash fifties as PBKS post 220-plus total against RR in IPL 2026

Marcus Stoinis and Prabhsimran Singh struck impressive half-centuries as PBKS posted a formidable 222/4 in their 20 overs against RR in the IPL 2026 clash. Prabhsimran scored 59 off 44 balls, including one six and six fours.

Cooper Conolly, captain Shreyas Iyer, and Priyansh Arya chipped in with valuable contributions of 30 (27), 30 (14), and 29 (11), respectively. For the Royals, Yash Raj Punja was the standout bowler with figures of 2/41, while Nandre Burger and Jofra Archer picked up one wicket each.

With six wins from seven matches, the Punjab franchise sit atop the IPL 2026 points table. They remain unbeaten so far, with their only non-result coming against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), where rain forced both teams to share a point.

On the other hand, RR, led by Riyan Parag, have been in strong form as well, securing five wins in eight games. A victory here could lift them from fourth to second place, depending on net run rate (NRR). The last time these two sides met in 2025, PBKS edged past RR by 10 runs.
