Once again RPS owner takes a jibe at MS Dhoni :- Rising Pune Supergiant”s owner Sanjeev Goenka has once again taken a dig at MS Dhoni by eulogizing skipper Steve Smith as they lock horns with two time Champions, Mumbai Indians in a much awaited final in Hyderabad.
But this hasn”t stopped the Pune franchise owner Sanjeev Goneka from comparing two of the foremost players in his team.
In a recent interview, Goenka hailed MS Dhoni as one of the greatest minds but said the current skipper Steve Smith is even one step ahead of MS Dhoni.
“MS Dhoni  is one of the greatest minds I have interacted with. And he is the best wicket-keeper in the world. The one mind ahead of Dhoni’s is Smith’s. My brief to Smith was – ‘win the championship’. It’s difficult to believe the way he has planned some dismissals; the tact and firmness with which he has dealt with tricky situations and the win-or-nothing attitude he has been able to infuse into the team (and) get them to gel as a unit,” Goenka uttered in the interview.
His brother, Harsh Goenka is always involved in a tussle with Dhoni”s fans on twitter due to his “Anti-Dhoni” tweets. These both have created an outrage among fans right since the day he sacked Dhoni from the post of captain of RPS.
The Supergiant, who witnessed an indigent season last year, has done exceptionally well to bounce back into the final this year.
They will clash with Mumbai Indians in Hyderabad in a nerve-tickling final of the Indian Premier League 2017. They will have to joust hard to earn their spurs before getting dissolved next year.
