While his wife was expecting a baby back in India, he was preparing himself for all important Champions Trophy. Such is the dedication of Ravindrasinh Anirudhsinh Jadeja!
A man who has fought all odds to become the pioneer spinner in Indian team in modern times.
Jadeja married Riva Solanki, a mechanical engineer in Rajkot on 17 April 2016. His marriage which was during the course of Indian Premier League made him miss a match. However that season turned out to be fabulous for his side Gujarat Lions as they reached the semi finals.
Since his marriage Jadeja has been enjoying good time in his professional life as he bagged 71 wickets in India’s 2016-17 grand home season.
Jadeja joined the club of ‘father of baby girls’ on 8 June 2017 which includes teammates Ravi Ashwin, MS Dhoni, Mohammad Shami, Harbhajan Singh. He took Twitter to announce the name of his baby girl which is ‘Nidhyana’. The word ‘Nidhyana’ is a Sanskrit word which means ‘intution’.
Jadeja tweeted “We have named our bundle of joy and little princess ‘Nidhyana’ #daughter”. India will be playing the semi-final of ICC Champions Trophy against Bangladesh at Edgbaston on 15 June and Champions Trophy title is the best gift that Jadeja can give to his newborn daughter.
