Jonty Rhodes Asks Preity Zinta To Sign Nicholas Pooran As Stuntman For Her Next Film

The highest successful run chase in the history of the IPL took place between Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals. Where Rajasthan Royals chased down an impeccable target of 224 runs all thanks to the brilliance of Sanju Samson and power-hitting display by Rahul Tewatia.

In that particular run chase, we also witnessed a brilliant piece of the fielding display shown by the Caribbean southpaw Nicholas Pooran. We all saw how Pooran, stationed at mid-wicket, dived in and saved a six by flicking the ball back into the field before he landed outside the boundary rope.

The attempt itself was worth appreciating that when the third umpire checked on the TV screens, Pooran had actually saved 4 valuable runs for his side in the run chase. Even Indian Legend Sachin Tendulkar was shocked to see such piece of fielding display as he went on to tweet

“This is the best save I have seen in my life. Simply incredible!!” he wrote on Twitter.

Kings XI Punjab’s fielding coach Jonty Rhodes, who is a fielding legend himself tweeted to KXIP owner Preity Zinta that if she ever requires a stuntman for her next movie, she should sign Nicholas Pooran. Such was the sheer brilliance that even the fielding god ended up bowing to the efforts of the young man.

“If you need any more stuntmen for your next action movie @realpreityzinta then I think u should sign up @nicholas_47 #poetryinmotion #defendtheboundary #saddapunjab,” he wrote.

In reply, Preity Zinta said she is definitely going to ask Nicholas Pooran about this. Also further went onto talk about how she’s improving her selfie-taking skills and she wants Jonty Rhodes to teach her a trick so she could also fly out of the ground.

“Iā€™m definitely going to ask him and you, By the way, My selfie-taking skills are definitely improving When Iā€™m back you have to teach me a trick or so I can fly out of the ground | park too #SaddaPunjab #Saddacoach #selfie #ting,” Zinta responded.

Well, in the end, the fielding effort wasn’t enough as Rajasthan Royals went on to chase the target of 224 runs in the 19th over. They were pulled back into the game when Sheldon Cottrell was smacked for 5 sixes in one over by Rahul Tewatia, who became a zero to hero for the Royals in no time.
