Shane Watson scored an unbeaten 83 along with Faf Du Plessis (87*) to script a memorable win for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2020. This was their second win five games in this IPL season. They lost three back to back games, which was a first-timer for the side in over a decade.
He was also awarded the Man of the Match for his match-winning performance. Courtesy this win, CSK have risen up to the sixth position in the points table at the moment.
Meanwhile, after the match, a tweet from Shane Watson went viral on social media. He tweeted this a day before CSK’s match against Kings XI Punjab, predicting that the perfect game for Chennai Super Kings is coming soon.

Shane Watson Debriefs Loss Against SRH
The tweet was about a video where Watson is seen debriefing their game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on October 2 which they lost. They also lost their previous match against Delhi capitals before heading into a weeklong break. You can watch the video below.
The match against KXIP Punjab was just the perfect outing for the MS Dhoni-led side after losing three back to back games heading into the contest.
The Shane Watson-Faf du Plessis pair sized up the chase of 179 within 17.4 overs with 14 balls to spare. This was the second-best opening stand in a game where the team has won by 10 wickets.
Watson hit 11 fours and three sixes in his innings. The way he played his knock was quite close to the one he played in the IPL 2018 final against SRH to help Chennai win their third IPL title. He took his time early on and decimated the opposition bowling attack, once he was set.
Chennai will now face Kolkata in their next match in Abu Dhabi on October 7. Both teams have four points in their kitty with KKR in the fourth position in the points table while CSK sixth.
