He was named the man of the match for consistent performance. Ravindra Jadeja has shown improvement as a bowler in the past few months. The number 1 ranked bowler will have to sit down in the third test match to be played at Kandy. The incident happened in the 58th over when Ravindra Jadeja showed anger to Dimunth Karunathe who had not left the crease. He previously got 3 demerits points during the 3rd test match against New Zealand at Indore. Jadeja has been the mainstay for the Indian bowling for quite some time. Ravindra Jadeja also bowled well in the first test match at Galle.

Kuldeep Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are both in the squad for the 3rd test. If the pitch is helpful for spinners, Yadav might get a chance as he impressed during his debut test.  Ravindra Jadeja will be missed by captain Kohli. Jadeja got important wickets in the 2nd innings of the 2nd test taking wickets of Karunanthe, Mathews, de Silva, Perera, Chandimal. If he finds guilty of two more demerits points, then he will miss one test or two ODI’s or two T20’s.

This performance will keep him the number 1 ranked bowler in test matches for quite some time.
