Legendary Indian veteran leg spin bowler Anil Kumble celebrated his 47th birthday today, Kumble who is considered to be one of the greatest match winners to have played the game was congratulated by fans and cricketers alike on social media, but a goof up by BCCI made a lot of fans angry on Twitter.
While legends like Virendra Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar wished Jumbo in their own style, other former and current cricketers too congratulated the spin wizard on this special occasion.

BCCI however tweeted a rather insulting and a plain tweet to congratulate a giant of the game. Twitter handle of the board mentioned Jumbo as simply a “former Indian bowler” which angered the fans across the twitter.

After receiving a lot of flak from the fans across the social media, BCCI social media team soon realized their mistake and later deleted the tweet. BCCI tried their best to make up by tweeting a with a more appropriate caption again but the damage has already been done.
