It was an eventful day in Indian cricket as two fast bowlers gave their wedding vows. Bhuvneshwar Kumar got married to Nupur Nagar and Zaheer Khan to his girlfriend Sagarika Ghatge. Zaheer and Sagarika opted for a court marriage. The couple had got engaged in May. Zaheer and Sagarika are hosting a big reception on November 27 at Taj Mahal Palace and Tower in Mumbai. It is going to be a star-studded event involving all Bollywood celebrities.
Zaheer’s fellow paceman and long-time friend Ashish Nehra was present at the time of the wedding. Anjana Sharma, the Head of Business and Brand marketing for Zaheer Khan’s Prosport Fitness Studio Posted the first pic on newly-weds on Instagram and after that, it is going viral. Twitterati also burst out sending them lots of love and wishes for their married life.
Zaheer Khan retired from all forms of international cricket in October 2015. The left-arm seamer was one of the best in his heydays. He has played 92 tests, 200 ODIS and 17 T20IS for India. His last appearance for India came in February 2014 against New Zealand.
He played a couple of IPL seasons after his international retirement. With lots of changes like to take place in the structure of IPL and player retention policies, Zaheer who is nearing 40 might be done with it now.
