Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer, who is known for hilarious tweets has presented New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson with a hilarious gift after they qualified for the ICC World Test Championship final. Incidentally, the Kiwis became the first team to make it to the summit clash after Australia postponed their tour of South Africa due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Australia were scheduled to play a three-match Test series later this month. However, CA’s interim chief executive Nick Hockley stated that traveling to the country will pose an unacceptable risk to the players. In the wake of this development, New Zealand became the first team to make it to the summit clash.
Wasim Jaffer gifts a tie to Kane Williamson
Soon after that, Wasim Jaffer, who is known for explosive tweets, once again set the Twittersphere on fire with a hilarious gift for Kane Williamson. Jaffer presented Williamson a tie in reference to finishing their last World Cup finals on a tie and ending on a losing side.

Incidentally, the Kiwis found themselves on the wrong side of the ICC World Cup 2019 in England after the game against the host finished on even stevens. Eoin Morgan & Co were adjudged the winner on the boundary count.

However, this will not be the case in the ICC World Test Championship. Both teams will be adjudged as the winner if the match ends in a tie.
As per reports, the final of the World Test Championship has been postponed a week and will start from June 18 instead of June 10 at the Lord’s Cricket Stadium in England.
