Former England skipper Kevin Pietersen once again made the pitch at The Motera the talking point after England won the toss and opted to bat first. However, as it turned out, England were bowled out for 112 with the Indian spinners running riot over the English batsmen. Axar Patel took six wickets and Ravichandran Ashwin shared nine wickets amongst themselves as Ishant Sharma took one playing his 100th Test for India. Indian pitches thus continues to be the talking point in the series with Pietersen referring to it once again.

On Wednesday, Pietersen came up with another interesting tweet in the build-up to Day 1 of the ongoing pink-ball Test match between the two ICC Test Championship title contenders.

“Oops india , asha karta hoon ki yeh, toss jeeto match jeeto wala wicket na ho,” Pietersen tweeted at the start of the one-off Day and Night Test match at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Some balls turned and bounced while some came in with the angle to keep the English batters perplexed.
