In a tweet, Harbhajan Singh made his opinion even more specific but mentioned the same thing. “Congratulations @tiwarymanoj .. with the hurdles you have faced in your career (after being such a magnificent player) I hope no aspiring cricketer goes through the same experience .. God bless you ! All the Best,” the KKR spinner wrote while reacting to one of Tiwary’s post.

Harbhajan Singh deleted one of his earlier tweets which said “Congratulations @tiwarymanoj don’t let that happen to any kid which happened to your career..God bless you! All the Best,”

Despite scoring heaps of runs for Bengal in domestic cricket, Manoj Tiwary did not get to play many games in Indian colors as he ran out of favour. He played 12 ODIs and three T20Is for the country before announcing his retirement.

Making his debut in 2008, Manoj Tiwary played alongside the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina and thus fell out of favor in the playing XI.

Tiwary had to sit on the sidelines for over six months after scoring his maiden ODI century against West Indies in December 2011. Recalling the hurdles in Tiwary’s cricket career, Harbhajan asked the former Bengal batsman to ensure that no kid goes through the challenges that came his way.

Now starting his second innings into politics, Manoj Tiwary is willing to make a sizeable contribution to improving sports facilities in the state besides promoting cricket.
