Ziva Dhoni was eager to call MS Dhoni to hug her but those supporting Chennai Super Kings said; MS Dhoni is batting at the moment and can’t come during the match.
Chennai Super Kings lost their first match of the tournament by just only 4 runs. Kings XI Punjab was asked to bat by CSK captain MS Dhoni at Mohali yesterday night. Chris Gayle scored 63 off 33 balls, KL Rahul 37 off 22 balls, Mayank Agarwal 30 off 19 balls, Yuvraj Singh 20 off 13, Nair 29 off 17 balls helped Kings XI Punjab post a massive total of 197 for 7.
Chris Gayle was included in the playing XI against Chennai Super Kings. He showed his power hitting abilities to the world scoring 50 off just 22 balls. Gayle and Rahul added 96 runs for the 1st wicket providing a solid foundation for Kings XI Punjab to post a massive total.
Chennai Super Kings lost wickets at regular intervals. MS Dhoni was suffering from a bad back, almost won the match for a yellow army. Former Indian captain made 79 off 44 balls. In the last 4 overs, CSK needed 67 off 4 overs. Dhoni and Jadeja combination scored 9, 19 and 19 runs from the 17th, 18th and 19th over respectively.
