The International Cricket Council, on Wednesday, announced the latest ICC World rankings. Australia’s all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has jumped up 13 places and 25th in the table with 551 points. He is jointly holding the spot with Bangladeshi batsman Mohammad Naim, who has gained seven spots on the table.
Marsh was the top run-scorer with 45 for Australia in their encounter against Bangladesh recently, while Naim scored 30 runs off 29 deliveries.

West Indies wicket-keeper batsman Nicholas Pooran has taken a huge leap. He is 48th on the table. In the second T20I against Pakistan, Pooran scored an unbeaten 62 off just 33 deliveries including four boundaries and six sixes. Unfortunately, his innings went in vain as Pakistan won the match by seven runs.

In the ICC T20I rankings for bowlers, Shakib Al Hasan has moved up three places and is 18th with 555 points. He picked up 1/24 in the recent T20I. West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder has gained 17 places and is at the 53rd spot. He picked up a four-wicket haul, conceding just 26 runs against Pakistan in the second T20I. Pakistan’s right-arm pacer Hasan Ali has gained six spots and is number 60.
The World number 1 is, Dawid Malan – batsmen, Tabraiz Shamsi – bowlers, Mohammad Nabi – All-rounders, have retained their spots at the top in the rankings.
For India, skipper Virat Kohli has retained his position and is fifth with 717 points, while KL Rahul has moved up one spot and is sixth in the tally. Rahul and Kohli are the only two Indians in the top 10 ICC T20I rankings for batsmen.
Opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan and injured Shreyas Iyer have dropped down and are at the 30th and 34th positions, respectively. Vice-captain Rohit Sharma has retained his 20th spot in the batsmen rankings.
