Indian fans had more than one reason to smile after they bagged two more medals at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 on Saturday. First wrestler Bajrang Punia bagged a bronze and then Neeraj Chopra bagged India’s first gold by in javelin throw. The success of the Indian contingent made former Indian skipper very happy. Chopra covered a distance of 87.58 meters on his throw and registered the longest distance among all the athletes who contested in the event. He defeated Czech Republic’s Jakub Vadlejch and Vítězslav Veselý to resgister the best throw.
Meanwhile, In a video posted on Sunil Gavaskar’s official Instagram handle, he can be seen singing the victory song with former Indian tennis star Somdev Devvarman. After playing the sport at the highest level, Burman has taken a recent interest in learning the guitar. He also composed the song as a dedication to Chopra and named it “The victory song”.
On the other hand, the fifth and final day’s play in Nottingham has been delayed due to rain. As per latest reports in Cricbuzz, the rain has intensified and the ground and the pitch are is concerned. The umpires have had a look at the conditions and they are not ideal for play to start.
Meanwhile, in a couple of tweets, former England skipper Michael Vaughan has backed England to win the match saying that the conditions are good for bowling on the final day. In the process, he has also taken a dig at Team India.

India scored 52/1 chasing 209 for victory at stumps on day 5. They need another 157 to win the first Test and take a 1-0 lead in the series. The second Test at Lord’s starts from August 12.
