Former Australian skipper Steve Smith is currently enjoying a break from international cricket. He might not play the second half of the IPL and can return for the T20 World Cup to be played in the UAE. In the meantime, his team has lost a T20I series against Bangladesh in Bangladesh. The Tigers, have won their first bilateral series against the Aussies in any form of the game as well.

Meanwhile, Steve Smith is busy on his social media handles during this break. In a recent interactive session with his fans, Smith has picked the top four bowlers around world cricket at the moment. Interestingly, all the names he took are pacers and that too the leading bowlers of their respective teams.

Steve Smith Picks 4 Best Current Bowlers

Smith named James Anderson, Jasprit Bumrah, Kagiso Rabada and his Australian teammate Pat Cummins as the top four bowlers currently in world cricket.

Anderson has overaken Anil Kumble’s tally of 619 Test series in the first Test against India. Bumrah too is a part of the Indin playing Xi that is playing the Test match currently. he took nine wickets in the first test including a fifer in the second innings.

Kagiso Rabada, making his international debut in 2015 has gone to become South Africa’s pace spearhead. With Dale Steyn contemplating retirement now aging close to 40, the upcoming T20 World Cup in the UAE might e his last international assignment for the Protean team. Rabada will be the likely bowler to take over the baton from Steyn.

Pat Cummins, who is the top-ranked Test bowler too is eenjoying a break from cricket. Smith, Cummins, David Warner are not a part of the Australian team which is in Bangladesh currently for the T20I series. The team has badly missed the presence of the three senior players in the series. Cummins had also confirmed that he will be skipping the remaining IPL season in the UAE.

The trio of Smith, Warner and Cummins are aiming a national comeback in the upcoming T20 World Cup in the UAE between October-November later this year.
