Jasprit Bumrah, who had an amazing outing in the opening Test match of the five-match Test series against England at Trent Bridge has gained big in the latest ICC Test Rankings. Bumrah was heading into the England Test series after a poor run in the WTC final against New Zealand. Notably, Bumrah went wicketless in the WTC final at Ageas Bowl, Southampton.
Meanwhile, in the England series, Bumrah picked a wicket on the very first over and kept picking wickets at regular intervals. In the first innings, he bagged 4 scalps. Meanwhile, in the second innings, he picked a 5-wicket haul to register his name on the Nottingham honor board.
Bumrah’s 9 wickets helped him to enter into the ICC Top 10 Test bowlers ranking. Notably, Jasprit Bumrah was out of the top 10 since March. Now Bumrah has entered the top 10 at 9th spot with 760 rating points under his belt. Also In the first Test against England, he gained 77 points alone.
Other than Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja has reached the number 2 spot in Test all-rounders rankings with 377 rating points. On the England side, James Anderson climbed one spot to reach 7th position. Also, The captain of England who scored a century and a half-century against India in the first Test is now ranked no. 4 in Test batters rankings with 846 rating points.

Shakib Al Hasan secures the top spot for the all-rounders
Star Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has reached the number one spot in ICC T20I all-rounders rankings. In the recent Australia tour of the Bangladesh series, the Bangla tigers pulled a big upset by defeating Australia 4-1. Also, Bangladesh looked at a dominant side throughout the series. Australians struggled a lot in all the T20I games against Bangladesh. Especially Australia’s batting unit looked fragile as they were unable to chase small targets.
Talking about Shakib Al Hasan he was the star performer in the series. He trapped Australian batters with his spin deliveries and with the bat he delivered an amazing performance. The 34-year-old bagged seven wickets at 18.14. Meanwhile, with the bat, he contributed 114 at 22.80. Notably, for the sensational performance, Shakib Al Hasan was awarded Player of the Series.
Meanwhile, in the last 4 T20I against Australia, Shakib bagged 34 rating points to become the number 1 all-rounder with 286 points. The cricketer at the number two spot is Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi who has 285 points.
