It was not a good start for Virat Kohli’s RCB as they lost their first game of the UAE leg to KKR. Kohli will be stepping down as the captain of the franchise after the UAE leg. He announced the same ahead of their opening game against KKR. To make matters worse, Kohli was dismissed for just five.
After the game, as the skipper of the side, Virat Kohli spoke to his teammates about picking themselves up from this defeat and moving forward.
“We are better off accepting it immediately and being at peace with it. Not meaning that we don’t look forward to the next one but, it should give us more hunger to get on to the field again. And play the cricket that we have already played in this tournament.”
“It’s about accepting that this kind of a game will happen at some stage. There is no reason why we should react differently to losses. We have to stay pretty balanced as a team if we have to go all the way,” Kohli could be heard saying in the RCB dressing room after the match.
