Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Deepak Chahar was seen proposing to his girlfriend after the game against Punjab Kings at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. Incidentally, the three-time IPL champions didn’t had a great outing as they went down against Punjab by six wickets with 42 balls to spare.
Soon after the match ended, Deepak Chahar went to the stands to propose to his girlfriend, who was in attendance to watch the game. Chahar put a ring on his girlfriend’s finger, who happily agreed to it before both of them hugging each other.

“It was a good wicket” – CSK captain MS Dhoni after back-to-back defeat
Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have now suffered two defeats on the trot after being the first team to secure a playoff berth. Batting first, CSK managed to post 134 runs which was convincing chased down by Punjab Kings within 13 overs.
Punjab captain KL Rahul remained unbeaten on 98 runs off 42 deliveries including seven fours and eight towering sixes to finish the competition on a high. Speaking at the post-match presentation ceremony, MS Dhoni said:
“You have to cope (when it comes to mental or skill aspect) up with that. We had played very good cricket to reach the playoff stages. We had a few bad games 2 out of 3 and one we felt like we could have a comeback and that’s part and parcel d in leagues like these, you have to be at your best. Motivation is not a factor, the guys are highly motivated and maybe we need to tune up slightly as to what needs to be done and also a few tosses if they had gone our way. It would have looked worse winning toss and batting on that wicket and I felt the wicket changed a bit, it was a bit challenging but it was a good wicket.”
