The much-anticipated face-off between Varun Chakravarty and MS Dhoni also is an exciting prospect.
On that note, let’s take a look at 3 players who will be under the spotlight during CSK vs KKR Clash during the MPL Fantasy Cricket:
MS Dhoni vs Varun Chakravarty
MS Dhoni has not been in his best batting form in this IPL season. On the other hand, the mystery spinner jas been in superb form picking up 18 wickets in the season so far. The CSK skipper has been troubled by Varun in the past and also in this IPL season as well. Dhoni was dismissed by Varun when CSK played KKR in the last game.
Overall, in three matches Dhoni has been dismissed by Varun thrice for just 10 runs. He has had a strike rate of just 83 against him.
Andre Russell vs Shardul Thakur
If Andre Russell plays the final, it will a big boost for KKR’s chances to win the title. Russell has been in good form against CSK in the past. He hit a fifty against CSK in the first match between the two sides which was played in India.
Against Shardul, Russell has scored 49 runs in three innings and has been dismissed just once. He has scored these runs at a strike rate of 326.8. Russell has missed the last few games for KKR owing to his hamstring injury. Thus what kind of form he brings back with him will be a concern. This season he has scored 183 runs from 10 games at a strike rate of 152.50.
Rahul Tripathi vs Ravindra Jadeja
Tripathi was KKR’s hero from the last game helping the side win with a six off Ravichandran Ashwin. He has been consistent for KKR in the middle-order scoring 495 runs this season. He is five shy of 400 runs for the season and has a chance to get to that landmark tonight.
Against Jadeja, he has found it tough to score runs. The experienced Indian all-rounder has dismissed Rahul thrice conceding just 20 runs in three innings and dismissing him twice in the process.
