Ireland’s Curtis Campher joined the likes of Lasith Malinga and Adil Rashid and Adil Rashid as he took four wickets in four balls against The Netherlands in the T20 World Cup qualifier game in Abu Dhabi. Courtesy of Campher’s strikes, Ireland have got Holland on the mat as the side is struggling to get to a 100.
Curtis Campher first dismissed Colin Ackermann down the leg side caught by keeper Niel Rock. His next three wickets have been off good balls dismissing Ryan ten Doeschate, Scott Edwards and Roelof van der Merwe for back to back ducks. While Doeschate and Edwards were out leg before, van der Merwe played on to lose his wicket.

Earlier in the day, the Netherlands won the toss and opted to bat. This is the first game for both the teams in the qualifiers. Scotland beat Bangladesh on October 17 to create a massive upset early on in the tournament. Hosts Oman hammered the newbies PNG in a massive 10-wicket win.
“Going to have a bat first. Pretty good wicket – want to get runs on the board and put them under pressure. Have been in Dubai for a while, have trained quite a bit. Lot of the boys have played county cricket” said Netherlands skipper Pieter Seelaar.
“First game of a tournament of a big ICC event is always special. You grew up watching Irish teams being successful in these tournaments” said Ireland skipper Andrew Balbirnie.
