The Indian cricket team will don the newly designed cricket kit in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. A few weeks ago, the BCCI unveiled the world Cup attire on their official social media handles.
The Mobile Premier League-designed jersey is being hailed as the “Billion Cheers Jersey.” The sound wave pattern on the jersey represents the millions of Indian cricket team fans cheering for their team. The newly designed jersey was widely praised by the fans. However, they were also quick to notice that the jersey has only one star on it, instead of the usual three stars.

The stars on the Indian cricket team’s jerseys represent the country’s World Cup wins over the years. Hence, the solitary star on the jersey for the ICC T20 World Cup represents India’s 2007 T20 World Cup winning campaign. Similarly, during the 2019 50-over World Cup, India’s jersey had two stars, representing the 1983 and the 2011 World Cup wins.
