IND vs NZ 2021, 1st Test: “Unplayable-“Twitter Reacts As Axar Patel Picks His 4th Fifer In Five Tests

Axar Patel registered his fourth fifer in his first five Tests by taking the most recent one against New Zealand in Kanpur. The Kiwis started strong on day 3 but the southpaw has helped his team to comeback since the second session. Tom Latham and Ross Taylor are the key wickets that Patel picked among his five.

The wicket of Tim Southee was his fifth. The ball kept low as it thudded the sumps. Southee was dismissed prettu much in the same manner as Tom Blundell. The pitch has shows sgins of the ball keeping low at times, making it difficult for the batsmen to negotiate the turn and bounce.

This is Axar’s fourth Test of his career and he has already taken more than 30 wickets. He might be the quickest Indian spinner to reach the tally of 50 Test wickets.

The Indian spinners have got thye Kiwi batters on the mat. The Indian spinners have mad ethe most of the given conditions after Kiwis started the day on the front foot. Kane Williamson (18) and Ross Taylor (11) getting out cheaply has played to the advantage of the Indians.

Tom Latham played a lone hand for most part of the innings in the first two sessions. However, a neat glovework from KS Bharat saw him getting out five short of his maiden Test ton against India.

The Twitterverse congratulated Axar Patel for his immaculate achievement so far. Here are some of the best tweets.
