Australian opener David Warner tried to make the most out of the missed chances from the England bowlers in The Gabba Test. However, his luck ran out finally with him being finally dismissed six short of an Ashes ton. Australia meanwhile;e have taken a lead and are marching on with the side looking good to get to a big score.
David Warner had his share of luck en route to 94 on day 2 of the Gabba Test. In the 13th over of day 2 of the Gabba Test, David Warner was dismissed by Ben Stokes of a no-ball. The umpires caught the same on replays and Warner was given a life.
However, the bigger shock came later in the day. It was found that Stokes had bowled as many as 14 no-balls with only two of them being called by the on-field umpire which was the delivery that dismissed Warner.
Meanwhile, it was later confirmed that the technology that is supposed to monitor the no-balls had gone down before the start of the game.
Warner had another share of luck going his way. He played a ball to the short leg fielder Hameed Hasan and ran off for a quick single. In trying to get back to the crease, he slipped and lost the grip of his bat. But to his good luck, Hameed missed the stumps from such close distance and he continued to play on.

However, Warner’s luck finally ran out in the 56th over of the Australian innings. AS luck would have it, it was Ben Stokes who took the catch to get him dismissed off the bowling of Ollie Robinson for 94. He was one big short away from getting to the landmark but could not gauge the slower ball from the England pacer as his innings was done and dusted much to England’s relief.
