Ravindra Jadeja made the best use of his opportunity as he scored a brilliant 86 against England in the final test of the tour. His partnership with debutant Hanuma Vihari played a crucial role in taking the total to a respectable one.
Jadeja wasn”t a part of the squad in the first four tests. However, Ashwin”s injury prompted the team management for an inclusion of a spinner and that made him to the playing XI.
His knock included 11 boundaries and a straight six off Anderson. As expected, he performed his customary sword celebration after his half-century. An unprecedented runout by Bumrah made “Sir” wait for his maiden international century.
It is to be noted that Jadeja added four wickets to his bag in the first innings. The Rajpoot boy is proving why he is the third-ranked all-rounder in longer formats.
England has started their second innings and it”s all up to the bowlers to provide early breakthroughs to keep India in the game. The odds are against the visitors as they hadn”t registered any victories at this very venue during their last tours.
