Australia all-rounder Ben Cutting reignited his old rivalry with veteran fast bowler Sohail Tanvir in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL). The incident took place during PSL 2022 game between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators.
Incidentally, Cutting smashed the left-arm pacer for three successive sixes in the 19th over of the first innings. The Australian dasher then raised the middle fingers of both his hands while looking at Tanvir.
However, Ben Cutting’s actions didn’t go down well as the duo had a conversation in the middle, which eventually seemed sorted. However, it didn’t end there and Sohail Tanvir returned the favour after taking his catch off Naseem Shah’s bowling in the last over.

Meanwhile, the rivalry between Sohail Tanvir and Ben Cutting dates long back. During a CPL 2018 game between Guyana Amazon Warriors and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Tanvir, who represented Guyana, gave the infamous double-finger send-off to Cutting after dismissing him.
The Aussie cricketer had kept the send-off inside himself and paid back yesterday after hitting three consecutive sixes.
Meanwhile, speaking of the game, Peshawar Zalmi rode on two half-centuries from Shoaib Malik and Hussain Talat before Ben Cutting’s sublime finish to post 185 runs on the board.
In reply, despite Will Smeed’s 60-ball 99 runs knock, Quetta fell short by 24 as he lacked support from the other end. Usman Qadir was the pick of the bowlers, returning with 3/25 in his quota of four overs. It was Qadir’s brilliant 16th over that changed the fate of the game where he gave away just three runs and picked up two wickets.
