Team India’s white-ball captain Rohit Sharma likes to wear his emotions on his sleeves and doesn’t shy away from expressing. While he was spotted losing his cool a couple of times during the thrilling contest in Kolkata on Friday, he was also seen having fun with his teammates after wrapping up the series.
Rohit was seen having banter with teammate Rishabh Pant at the post-match presentation ceremony. After addressing his post-match presentation, as Harsha Bhogle invited Rishabh to collect his Man of the Match award, Rohit Sharma joked with Harsha and asked in a sarcastic manner, “Rishabh Pant Is The Man of the Match?”
To this Harsha replied, “Come on Rohit, he batted very well though.”

Speaking of the game, India posted 186 runs in their 20 overs after being asked to bat first. Virat Kohli resurrected the hosts’ innings after they lost Ishan Kishan early. Kohli played a fine innings of 52 off 41 deliveries before Rishabh Pant and Venkatesh Iyer took off.
They added 76 runs off 35 balls to propel India on a challenging total. Pant remained unbeaten on 52 off 28 balls, including seven fours and one six. Venkatesh Iyer chipped in with 33 runs from 18 deliveries aided by four boundaries and a six.
In reply, India managed to pick up a couple of early wickets before Rovman Powell and Nicholas Pooran unleashed a carnage against Indian bowlers. They smacked the balls hard, especially Powell. Both reached their individual half-centuries.
While West Indies were on song to chase down the total, Bhuvneshwar Kumar staged a brilliant comeback. He gave away only four runs in the 19th over and dismissed Pooran to bring down the equation to 25 off the final over. Harshal Patel kept his nerves to seal the tie in India’s favour.
