English batter Jason Roy recently announced his withdrawal from the Indian Premier League 2022 season. He was signed by the Gujarat Titans for his base price of 2 crores. Roy cited the challenge of staying in the tournament bubble for an extended period.
In a statement released by the English batter wrote, “With everything going on in the world over the last 3 years, it has added up and taken its toll on me. I feel it’s only right I spend some quality time with my family. As well as spending time working on myself and my game over the next couple of months leading into a very busy year.”

Roy also said that he will be supporting the Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022 and will be backing them to win the IPL trophy. He thanked everyone for their support. With Jason Roy pulling out and the Indian Premier League just a few days away, the Gujarat Titans are in search of a replacement.
Meanwhile, social media is abuzz, with fans requesting the franchise to rope in Suresh Raina as the replacement. The fans pointed out that he will be an asset for the Gujarat Titans. Raina went unsold in the IPL auctions and is available for 2 crores, as a replacement.
The left-hander is referred to as Mr. IPL for his spectacular record in the tournament over the years. Raina was an integral part of the Chennai Super Kings franchise. He has played a key role in their title-winning campaigns.
