Things aren”t turning out good for Indian pacer Shardul Thakur at the moment. The Mumbaikar who wasn”t able to enjoy his debut game has some disappointing news for the Indian fans.
Shardul Thakur who proved his mettle in the IPL 2018, has been receiving a lot of chances in the International arena. Shardul is well in the hunt for the role of a third pacer for the World Cup 2019.
However, injuries are making the journey a bit harder for him. Even in the Asia cup, Shardul Thakur was forced to return home due to a groin injury.
In a short interview to “The Indian Express”, Shardul Thakur said that his injury isn”t going to be alright anytime now. It is to be noted that Shardul had to walk off in a very short span after receiving his test cap. He succumbed to an injury in his right adductor and is in need of rehabilitation for a period of minimum seven weeks. This means that Shardul will be unavailable for selection in Australian tests and T20I series.
Shardul also mentioned that even if he puts a lot of effort, things would go in vain and his focus is right on the ODI series against Australia starting January 12.
So, can Shardul Thakur make it for the ODI series? What do you think
