Gujarat Titans (GT) head coach Ashish Nehra turned 43 on April 29, and the squad arranged a surprise for the former India pacer. The team used social media to show fans how they celebrated his birthday.
Rahul Tewatia and Mohammed Shami can be seen delivering messages to their coach Ashish Nehra in the video published by GT. Nehra was also given a customised poster by the team. All of the players painted the 43-year-face old’s with cake as the celebrations came to a close with a cake smash.
GT all-rounder Rahul Tewatia said that Ashish Nehra believes in keeping things simple. He stated that under the supervision of the former cricketer, players should simply enjoy their game and not worry about anything else.

With 14 points and an excellent net run rate of 0.371, GT are currently the table-toppers in IPL 2022. Due to their steady efforts, they have emerged as one of the leading contenders for the championship this year. The Gujarat Titans are currently facing Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 43rd league match of the season at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium.
RCB post 170 runs after batting first against Gujarat Titans
The game started off as a track where there was some value for shots, with the big dimensions and racy outfield. However, as the ball got older, the off-pace deliveries on a hard length did get tougher to score off. Virat Kohli worked himself back to some sort of form, even though his tempo wasn’t the most ideal.
It was young Rajat Patidar who created the impetus with a counterpunching knock, and then cameos from Glenn Maxwell (33) and Mahipal Lomror (16*) pushed the score to decent levels.
