Delhi Capitals opener David Warner rode his luck against the Rajasthan Royals at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai in the Indian Premier League 2022 season. The left-hander got lucky a few times in the over against Yuzvendra Chahal.
David Warner opened the innings along with KS Bharat. The team got off to a disastrous start losing Bharat in the very first over. Mitchell Marsh, who came out to bat after Bharat’s wicket, took the charge to the opposition. Meanwhile, David Warner played the perfect second foil to his Australian batting partner.
In the ninth over, David Warner got a lucky reprieve. Yuzvendra Chahal bowled an off-stump delivery, which spun viciously going past Warner and hitting the stumps. However, the bails failed to completely dislodge. The ball brushed the stumps, and the bails got lit up but then fell back into place.

Earlier in the over, David Warner hit a six over the deep square leg boundary. He pulled a short ball but did not time it well. However, the ball just sailed over the fielder, who was standing a few yards inside the boundary rope, for a six. On the very next delivery, the opener got another life. The Australian cricketer lofted a shot over long-on. Jos Buttler, who was at long-off, ran in and dived, but could not get under the ball and missed the catch.
