Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by seven wickets in Qualifier 2 at the Narendra Modi stadium in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). With this win, Rajasthan Royals have reached the final of IPL 2022. It is a great tribute to Shane Warne from Rajasthan Royals team after they made their way into the final for the first time since IPL 2008.
The last time Rajasthan Royals reached the final of the IPL was in 2008. The Royals went on to win the IPL 2008 under the leadership of the Australian legend Shane Warne. IPL 2008 was also the inaugural season of the cash-rich league.
Shane Warne recently died due to a heart attack in Thailand. This win of RR was a great tribute to the late Shane Warne who played a massive role for Rajasthan as a player, mentor and leader. Rajasthan Royals players and coaching staff want to win this IPL for Shane Warne.

“Shane Warne is such an influential figure for Rajasthan Royals” – Jos Buttler pays tribute to former Aussie cricketer
Jos Buttler hit a fantastic century in the run chase which helped Rajasthan comprehensively chase the target. Buttler continued his great form and scored 106 runs in 60 balls. He is currently the Orange Cap holder in this IPL season. Rajasthan Royals will face Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2022 final.
Jos Buttler in the post-match presentation paid an emotional tribute to Shane Warne. Buttler said, ” Shane Warne is such an influential figure for the Rajasthan Royals and having led the team to success in the first season, we will miss him dearly, but we know he is looking down on us with a lot of pride today.”
