Senior leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal revealed a scary time from IPL 2013 when he was plying trade for Mumbai Indians. Chahal spent a couple of years with the five-time IPL champion before joining Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Chahal mostly warmed the benches during his stint with Mumbai. In a recent conversation with teammates Karun Nair and Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal revealed that he made a narrow escape when a drunk MI cricketer hung him from the balcony.
In a video shared by the Rajasthan Royals, the leg-spinner said:
“I never told this story. Everyone will get to know today. This dates back to 2012 when I was with Mumbai Indians. We had a match in Bangalore. There was a get together after that. So there was a player who was very drunk. I won’t say his name.”
He added:
“He was very drunk and was looking at me for a long time and he just called me. He took me outside and hung me on the balcony. My hands were around him like this (demonstrating). Had I lost my grip, I was on the 15th floor. Suddenly many people, who were there came and calmed the situation.”
What Yuzi told was scary to the core. Would like to know what action was taken by MI over that behaviour. pic.twitter.com/ptByxQkjg3
