Team India’s excellent run in the shortest format against New Zealand has left the fans to go gaga over the cricketers. Meanwhile, former Test cricketer Aakash Chopra saw this victory in a different angle and said that Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) can finally break the deadlock in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore have participated in all the 12 editions of the cash-rich league. However, they are yet to put a hand on the prestigious trophy despite reaching the final three times. It is extremely shocking to see the Virat Kohli-led side go trophyless year after year despite having a star-studded line in each season.

Somehow the combinations have not clicked which have gone against the team. But cricketer turned commentator Aakash Chopra feels Bangalore can break the barren run with the quality of players they have in their squad. The current Indian team boast five players from Bangalore notably – skipper Virat Kohli, Yuzvendra Chahal, Washington Sundar, Navdeep Saini, and Shivam Dube.
Chopra adds that foreign recruits like AB de Villiers, Dale Steyn, Chris Morris, and Moeen Ali will join the Indian contingents making Bangalore one of the best teams in the competition. Moreover, the former cricketer seemed confident about RCB doing well in IPL 2020. The 13th edition of the tournament will commence from March 29 and will run until May 24.
“Kohli, Chahal, Dube, Sundar, Saini….five current Indian T20i players. All of them were in the playing XI today. Add Finch, ABDV, Mooen and Steyn/Morris/Kane Richardson to it. Plus Devdutt Pallikal. Gimme a reason why #RCB shouldn’t do well in #IPL2020,” Aakash Chopra tweeted.Â
