Team India batsman and the vice-captain, Ajinkya Rahane has earned a lot of success at the international level for his prolific run-scoring ability. He has his fans all over the world for his batting techniques. But in a recent interview with Vikram Sathaye, the mainstay of Indian batting revealed who his favourite actor is.
The 29-year-old batsman from Mumbai who appeared in a show called “What the Duck” stated that he is a huge fan of the veteran Bollywood actor Aamir Khan. When asked about his relaxation process, the middle-order batsman revealed that going to a gym and watching a movie is his favourite pass time.
He also mentioned that while chilling, he keeps that someone else is sweating at the nets. Rahane praised the amount of zeal the actor puts in all of his projects. He went on to add that the perfection he puts in all his movies is something everyone should master.
Rahane recounted a story which goes back to the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup when the men in blues were playing a group stage match against the Proteas.
In that match, Rahane played a match-winning inning of 70 runs in just 60 balls with the help of 7 boundaries and 3 mammoth sixes. However, Shikhar Dhawan was adjudged the man-of-the-match for his magnificent hundred.
After the win, Rahane was taken aback when he received a call from his favourite star. Rahane never anticipated a call from Aamir and was delighted to know that the actor is a fan of his batting. Rahane didn’t forget to return his favor and mentioned that he is a big admirer of the national award-winning actor.
