Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, wife of former Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, shared an emotional birthday tribute to her husband on social media on Tuesday, November 5. The post featured their children, Vamika and Akaay.

The couple, who married on December 11, 2017, in a private ceremony in Italy, became parents to their first child, daughter Vamika, on January 11, 2021. They welcomed their second child, son Akaay, on February 15, 2024.

As Virat celebrated his 36th birthday, Anushka posted a sweet picture on Instagram showing him holding both children, with their faces obscured by heart-shaped emojis. Anushka captioned the photo with red heart and evil eye emojis.

On the cricketing front, the 36-year-old will next take the field when India faces Australia in the five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, starting November 22 in Perth.

The Delhi-born cricketer made his international debut in an ODI against Sri Lanka in 2008. Since then, Kohli has represented India in 295 ODIs, scoring 13,906 runs at an average of 58.18, which is the third-highest in ODI history, behind only Sachin Tendulkar (18,426) and Kumar Sangakkara (14,234).

He has also accumulated 72 fifties and 50 centuries, the most by any player in the format. The star batter has played 118 Tests for India, amassing 9,040 runs at an average of 47.83, including 31 fifties and 29 centuries. He is the fourth-highest run-scorer for India in Test cricket.

The 36-year-old retired from T20I cricket earlier this year after winning the 2024 T20 World Cup. In 125 matches, he scored 4,188 runs at an average of 48.69, with 38 fifties and one century. He currently holds the second spot for the most runs in the format.
