AR Rahman Dedicates An Inspirational Song To MS Dhoni

AR Rahman dedicates "Chale Chalo" to MS Dhoni

On a motivational note, Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman has dedicated the song “Chale Chalo” from Lagaan to MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings. He dedicated another song from the movie Rangeela, “Mangta Hai Kya” to CSK all-rounder Suresh Raina.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni didn’t had a good start to the IPL 2021 campaign going down to Delhi Capitals. Despite Suresh Raina returning to the CSK set-up with an aggressive hand, the Chennai camp would be a tad concerned about their top-order woes as well. Dhoni & Co will look to bounce back and make a statement against Punjab Kings.

Ahead of the crucial encounter, legendary singer, AR Rahman has dedicated the famous ‘Chale Chalo’ song from the cricket-based Laagan movie for the Chennai Super Kings skipper. Rahman also dedicated a song for Suresh Raina – Chennai’s highest run-scorer in IPL.

“I would like to dedicate the song ‘Chale Chalo’ from the movie Lagaan to MS Dhoni, as it motivates people to play cricket together. And for Suresh Raina, I would like to dedicate the song ‘Mangta Hai Kya’, because whenever I went to Bangalore, they were listening to a lot of songs from Rangeela,” Rahman told on Star Sports show Cricket Live.

Previously, former Indian batsman, Gautam Gambhir suggested that MS Dhoni should bat at number four or five. He said that MS Dhoni should not consider any position below that. Chennai Super Kings have struggled with their batting and Dhoni pushing himself up in the order will give the side the perfect platform to put up big scores.

Gambhir said on Star Sports show Cricket Live: “MS Dhoni should be batting higher, that’s what matters because ultimately people should start leading from the front. We keep mentioning this thing that a leader needs to lead from the front. You can’t be leading, when you’re batting at No.7. Yes, there are issues in their bowling lineup.”

Gautam Gambhir further suggested that Dhoni is losing his attacking nature when batting down the order. When he promoted himself up in the order, he used to bring in an attacking nature.

“Plus, he is not the MS Dhoni, which he used to be probably four or five years back, where he could just come in and start taking on the bowlers from the word go. For me, I think he needs to bat at number four/ five. Nothing below that,” Gambhir added.
