The fourth Test of the 2023 Ashes between England and Australia will get underway on Wednesday, July 19 at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester. The hosts have made a good comeback in the series, after losing the first two Test matches. They defeated Australia by three wickets in the third Test at Headingley, Leeds.

Batting first, the visitors put on 263 runs on the board, with Mitchell Marsh slamming a century. In response, England conceded a lead of 26 runs in the first innings. Australia couldn’t capitalise well on the score and were bowled out for 224 runs. England chased down the target on the back of Harry Brook and Chris Woakes’ valuable contributions. Mark Wood won the Player of the Match award for taking seven wickets and scoring 40 runs in the match.

Heading into the fourth Test, England has brought in James Anderson in the XI replacing Ollie Robinson. They will be hoping that the veteran pacer’s experience comes in handy for them in a must-win game.

The Ashes 2023 is going on in full swing where Australia started with a bang and won two Tests. However, England were no less and they bounced back in the third game and earned their first point in the tournament. Now they will try to equal the series with another win in the fourth Test. And, Betway has also placed its odds in favour of the home team (2.87) instead of the visitors (2.68). Seeing this, an exciting game is expected to take place.
