Notably, he also displayed his batting prowess with quickfire innings of 24 runs off just eight deliveries and an unbeaten 16 off eight balls. Consequently, he was named the Player of the Match for his exceptional all-round contributions.
Chris Woakes, who received his first opportunity in the series at Headingley, proved instrumental in England’s success. He delivered crucial breakthroughs for his team across both innings, finishing the match with an impressive six-wicket haul.
